2026- Medford Firefighters’ Union, IAFF Local 1032 and City of Medford

The Medford Firefighters Local 1032 has received, yet another, favorable decision at arbitration vacating unjust discipline imposed by the City. The arbitrator found that the grievant was not on notice of the rules, the City failed to enforce the rules for some-56-years, and the rules overall were ambiguous as to their requirements. This decision reinforces what the Union has consistently been fighting for, fairness and respect to its membership. The grievant in this case was targeted by the City and singled out for reasons the City was unable to justify. We are proud to continue this important work with Local 1032 and ensure that their members are treated respectfully and fairly.
